Who we are...

Brought together by God and have discovered along the way that there is a deeper reason why we are together. Our mission is not to be done individually, but together. Going somewhere?

Since our son, Zye, is already in his "learning to crawl" stage, we figured we'd buy him a mat so that he'd have more space to practice his crawling. In the beginning he didn't want to move around much. I think he was overwhelmed with the huge space he's got but later on he explored the possibilities of going someplace else. He can now turn faster than the blink of an eye but still struggles to crawl because he doesn't want to use his hands. What he does is that he pushes himself with his legs and his cheeks. You can just imagine how flushed his face becomes whenever he is crawling.

Besides wanting to learn how to crawl, he is figuring well how to open and close his hands fast. He is in awe whenever I teach him to count. He stares at his fingers thinking of how he can actually move them the way I do. He is also trying his best to sit all by himself. We are so proud of his developments considering that he was a premature baby.

God works in wonderful ways indeed.

Kid’s Question #1 If you were the ruler of the world and you could have anything you wanted as well as have people do anything you wanted, do you think you would get greedy and mean or would you be a good and fair ruler?
> Without blinking my eyes, I believe that I will be a good and fair ruler knowing that God will guide me if I am the ruler of the world. For the goodnesss in me, I leave it all up to God. For the fairness part of me, I have been such ever since. I weigh everything...I mean everything! (Well, not literally of course, hahaha)

The growing kid and the sleepy father

Zye just had his check-up yesterday and the third installment of his DPT/Polio vaccine. We were so happy because his developing almost like kids who were born full term. He now weighs 15 lbs and measures 69 cm in height. Thank God because our son had been very well blessed with a healthy body and we believe that like me, he too has a high tolerance when it comes to pain (He doesn't cry too much during his shots. Such a brave little boy!)

Another thing to be grateful is my husband's safety whenever he is driving. Last Monday, Dong had an accident. Unknowingly, Dong fell asleep causing his foot to release the brakes. I said unknowingly because Dong actually thought in his mind that he was awake and was unaware that he was slowly drifting to a temporary state of slumber. Thank God because this didn't happen while he was driving fast, otherwise this would have been a different story all in all. Still very much blessed because the owner of the car he hit was easy to talk to and agreed to course everything through our insurance agency.

God is really good...grabeh!
All the time...shempre!

Staying in touch

There’s nothing like hearing from the people in your life whom you haven’t seen or talked to for quite sometime. Being the sentimental person that I am, I love to always have means and ways to keep in touch with friends and family especially those who live a thousand miles away from us.

It’s a good thing that the internet world has fascinating ways of connecting people such as the 3gb community. This virtual community allows its members to link to each other twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. Yes, you can send messages or chat with your loved ones via 3gb. Oh, and you can even upload your latest photos and arrange them in photo albums so that family and friends can actually see all your wonderful moments that has been captured by the camera. It’s also interesting to know that 3gb community allows you to listen to the latest mp3s! Now that is definitely something to look forward to once you join 3gb community www.3gb.biz

I never thought keeping in touch can be this fun.

Wishlist Number 1

MY COFFEE BREAK FOR TODAY:

Dreaming to be someplace else.

Dreaming to be in Paris. Hay, so glad that dreams are free.

On rice shortage etc.

Last Sunday, hubby and I went to the supermarket to do our grocery. I went to the rice section only to find out that the supermarket only sells three kinds of rice: Thailand Jasmine rice (Which costs to around P400.00/5kg), Organic unpolished rice and brown rice. Yes, those are the only three kinds left for people to buy. Most of the shoppers were irritated by the fact that they no longer sell other types of rice. It's annoying because honestly, I don't even believe that there is a shortage of rice.
As if the increase in rice is not enough, almost all products have increased in price -- well at least those products that I bought last Sunday. You can see how most of the shoppers are turning into wise consumers because most of them no longer shop base on familiarity. They now are cautious in checking the prices of each product and comparing which product will actually give the best value for their money. To top it all, the price of gasoline is continuously rising...and it doesn't seem like it's going to stop anytime soon.
It's scary what the future holds for my son. I'm just thankful because I know God is there to help us get through it all.
Faith can really go a long, long way.

Identity Crisis

For the whole afternoon, I was consumed with one question in mind:
"To keep, or not to keep"

I have been battling with myself if I should keep my personal blog or not. Keeping one blog is time consuming on it's own. Having two can be a chore..at least for me, especially since I am still using the good old dial-up. (It's a long story why I don't have broadband connection)

So I was already decided to give up this space. Before doing so, I went over my previous posts to check which ones I will be migrating to our active blog. After going through my past entries, I realized that I still need this blog. I still need an outlet that will cater to my needs. One that will reflect my individuality -- my favorites, my wishes, my fears -- just me and how I see everything else around me. That is why in line with my decision to keep this space, I figured that I needed to reformat the concept of this blog. Of course, I will still be writing. But maybe in a different way.

You'd have to visit me again to find out the make-over of Frappucino Jown.

Pondering

It was heartbreaking seeing how hard life is for most people. Last night, while watching "Idol gives back", I cannot contain the sadness of seeing kids at a very young age without parents. On the other hand, I cannot find words to thank God how blessed we are. I can only pray and wish that inspite of this world's cruelty, orphans may still be abe to witness God's blessings through other people. I hope that in giving much love to our son, I will be able to teach him how to love others as well, to always have compassion in his heart and allow him to reach out to others. May he grow up to see how blessed he is and be able to share his blessing to those who are less fortunate.

But Jesus said, "Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14

Finally....

After hoping and wishing for our blog's own header, I finally was able to do it! **BIG GRIN** It's not a work of art like those of the other blog sites I've visited but I believe that our header now can give a vision of what this blog is all about. Our adventures, our journeys, our life.

Medyo malaki nga lang ata yung nagawa kong header. Next time ko na lang i-eedit. Hehehe.

So blessed.

Always loved.

Very much happy!

A shop of my own

The one major goal that my husband and I have is to retire at the age of 45. So as early as now, we are planning our game plan on how to be able to have our money work for us.

When we were still dating, we ventured on selling different merchandise such as cosmetics, wallet, accessories, food items, bottled water and the list goes on. That experience made us realize that we do have a future in this kind of business. Having picked the nature of the business we want, the next step is how to increase our market. No doubt that the internet world is the best place to advertise and sell products. It gives buyers the convenience of having to just browse on the things that they need or want without having to go to the store. The thing is we don’t know where to begin. I mean we have the idea of having our own site, posting the products and the prices, including a shopping cart and have all the transactions in the click of the mouse but we honestly don’t have a clue on how we can put all of these ideas into a real thing.

I browsed, surfed, researched and finally found out that there is a shopping cart software. I learned this when I came across Ashop Commerce which actually hosts ecommerce software that will definitely help out starting entrepreneurs like us. I was so happy to have come across Ashop because they have exactly what we need: a shopping cart software that need not be installed, easy to understand and use and more importantly very reasonably priced. You can customize your shopping cart in anyway you like it. I’m thinking of having ours in a funky, trendy way. Oh well, I’ll just check out with their support team. I bet they have tons of great advice regarding any question I have in mind.

With business partners such as Ashop, my retirement age may even be sooner. I can’t wait to get started!

Bye-bye Malubay

*SIGH*
A little sad because Ramiele is no longer in the running to be the next American Idol. I must say though that a part of me already knew that it was gonna be her saying goodbye tonight. True enough, she never had a performance that stuck well in the minds of the viewers. Even if she really did got the talent, the choice of song was hardly good.
Maybe it's because she's probably in the truest sense a Pinoy Idol more than an American Idol...whatever. I have to choose a new favorite now.

To do list

Hmmm...I need to do a few things for my blogs. Let me see:

1. Own header (So long overdue! waaah!!!!!)
2. Apply for a faster (better, cheaper..hahaha) internet service provider (In the soonest possible time!)
3. Visit all those in my blogroll ( And I mean ALL)
4. New template (Still thinking about this one...)
5. Rearrange my blogsite's layout (Tendency to be OC..hmm)
6. Zye's 6th month blog entry (I want a really good one...or a memorable one whichever it may be...he'll be 6 months on Friday, April 4)

I'm putting my list as a post to MAKE SURE I don't forget it. My digital post it are simple accumulating...I can't even see half of my wallpaper.

Wish me luck!
